The Federation of Korea would like to open formal diplomatic relations with the East African Kingdom. Should this be agreeable, we would wish
to send an ambassador to Dar Es Salaam to normalize communications.

Should you wish to sever communications, no insult would be assumed, though naturally this Federation hopes that the Kingdom is
willing to speak and interact with other nations of our world.

After consideration, her Majesty, Queen Catharine Victoria Akinyi, has decided to open Dar Es Salaam to diplomats, workers, and students from the Korean Federation. We invite you to establish an embassy within our city so that a friendship may be built between our nations.

The Foreign Ministry's offices, in the Royal Towers of Dar Es Salaam, were filled with luxury and busy workers. A comfortable meeting room, with tea and coffee set out for delegates to serve for themselves, had been prepared for the Korean delegation. The Kindom had provided translators, and translated documents. And Foreign Minister Grace Ramogi was already seated at the table waiting for her counterparts. She rose when they arrived and offered a polite greeting in Swahili, which was translated for her.

Ambassador Seong Jae smiled and bowed briefly, returning a polite greeting in English to the Minister. "Many thanks, Foreign Minister. Good tidings to your from the Federation."

Taking her seat, she put on a faint smile. "The Federation of Korea extends greetings to you on behalf of its people and government, Foreign Minister. My purpose here is to both oversee the establishment of an embassy, and to discuss the possibility of formalising trade relations and lines of intergovernmental communications. Is there anything else you'd like to add to that list, or shall we begin?"

Seong Jae sat up slowly, blinking. Her expression rapidly shifted to a glare, directed at the 'Military Attache' - one of exactly twelve staff so far in place at the embassy in Dar-Es-Salaam.

"Fucking what."

"Ambassador. We need to beat feet. Now."

Jae turned the glare up a notch. "Elaborate."

Major Kyung sighed and popped open his briefcase, pulling out a folder and handing it to his (nominal) boss. "Observe."

The ambassador flipped open the folder and stared at the images within. Blinking several times, she tilted the pages to better catch the light. "What...?"

"Several members of the local Parliament. First image is what looks to be cells, second is the Queen making a statement that they're to be executed for treason. Harridan tells me it's almost certainly in retaliation for the Senate's censure of her for firebombing Kampala. The third... is white phosphorous being dumped into the cells."

Jae hadn't served in the military, but it didn't take a genius to put two and two together. Dropping the folder, she scrubbed her hands over her face. "Fuck. Alright. Send Harridan and Park to the dock and have the crew recalled to the ship and start turning her over. Pack up everything we can, destroy anything sensitive we can't, and we'll leg it out of here. If she's going to WP her own politicians, I, for one, am not staying to find out if she's willing to extend that to 'anyone I don't like.' Go."

Nodding, the Major deposited the folder in his briefcase and made tracks for the door, leaving the Ambassador to scramble into her working clothes and begin gathering her personal effects.

A Victorian Colonel sat behind a desk in the newly established Victorian embassy in Korea. It hadn't existed until recently, and the Colonel had pushed for its creation. As soon as it was ready, she called for a meeting with whoever the Koreans chose to send. When the Koreans arrived, they were greeted by friendly-looking Victorian staff, and plenty of tea.

The Colonel exchanged whatever pleasantries she felt were required based on the status of her counterpart, and then shifted into what she had wanted to address, "So, it seems your nation's experiment in multinational decisionmaking has run into a small misstep. The great majority of the world wishes to ignore a conflict, the very thing that your nation wished to address.

"Her Majesty, Queen Catharine, does not find it acceptable to ignore conflicts just because it is convenient for us to do so. She wishes to propose a coalition action between our two nations to put an end to the fighting between Bulgaria and Macedonia, and to ensure that Macedonia is rebuilt."

Ambassador Min Hwangbo evaluated the Victorian's opening statement carefully, sipping the provided tea. It seemed Bellman had been correct in his guess regarding what they wanted to discuss.

"We are agreeable to that, in principle." she returned after a brief moment, setting down the cup. "Though naturally, we would prefer neither Bulgaria nor Macedonia have any cities converted to improvised funeral pyres. I've been instructed to make it known that Korean forces will not assist in a retaliatory conflict against Bulgaria - merely pushing them back tot heir own borders and holding them there. I am also informed that a dedicated relief unit is being created, particularly to deal with the aftermath of large-scale conflicts. But I digress." Hwangbo directed a level stare at the Victorian officer. "I assume you intend to ask for basing rights in Macedonia?"

"Victoria has no need to enact Judgment on Bulgaria, so long as they are successfully pushed back to their own territory. As for basing rights? We do not currently see the need for a Victorian base in Macedonia or Bulgaria."

"Very well. Given our own Army was not involved in the recent fighting in China, I do believe we can spare some forces." Hwangbo replied. "Exactly what forces those will be I cannot yet say, but that should be available in short order."

A missive was sent to the Korean Foreign Ministry. Among other things it said: "As it appears the Bulgaria-Macedonia conflict has come to a conclusion, Victoria no longer feels the need to send forces to the region. We will be keeping an eye on the situation to ensure it remains peaceful. Your cooperation in this peacekeeping effort has been appreciated."
