As evening approached on March 7th 1975, the clouds of war rose. Armies from the west, south and east all marched towards the borders of the Kingdom of Chad in a war propagated by reasons of expansion and the claiming of "rightful Mali territory" from Chad. Neighboring Central African Republic, Sudan and Nigeria each claimed it supported the actions of Mali and would find themselves in conflict with Chadian forces on the basis of Chad's activities in supplying arms and intelligence to anti-government resistance groups within their respective nations. A comprehensive air and land assault caught Chadian forces off-guard with attacks rumored to have penetrated as deep as 35km into Chad, though it is expected it won't be long before the Chadian military reorganizes and potential WEST reinforcements stack the odds in their favor.
OOC: AF20 (Mali Empire), AF16 (Sudan), AF48 (Central African Republic) and AF18 (Nigeria) are now at war with AF17 (Kingdom of Chad). Initial attacks have happened but have not been rolled yet.

Re: Kingdom Under Siege (Mali-Chadian War of Expansion)
In response to the heinous and unprovoked attack on its ally, the Kingdom of Italy mobilizes it's entire 3rd Army, with the exception of the 4th Cavalry Division - "Carlo Emanuele di Savoia" - which is instead replaced by the 131st Armoured Division - "Centauro", to aid the Kingdom of Chad. Additionally Italy is sending the 2nd Fighter Wind, the 1st Bomber wing, and 1 division of each type of naval force as a task force. The general disposition of Italian units is to push strongly into the Central African Republic, while holding the line at other parts of the front. Bombers and attack Helicopters are grounded until air superiority has been achieved.
OOC:
Italy is moving the following to AF17:
5 Armoured units
6 Mechanized units
2 Motorized units
4 Artillery Units
3 Attack Helicopter Units
5 Fighter Units
2 Bomber Units
The following are moved off the coast of AF18
1 Naval ASuW unit
1 Naval AAW unit
1 Naval ASW unit
1 Missile Submarine

Re: Kingdom Under Siege (Mali-Chadian War of Expansion)
Aragon deploys the Guardia Real, 11th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Second Army, 1st Fighter Wing, its Special Forces, the 1st and 2nd Carrier Strike Groups, and a portion of its submarine fleet to the defense of Chad.
The cavalry has arrived. All friendly forces in theatre are now under Joint High Command.
Because there's a lot to manage here, I'll deal only generally. Operations are divided five ways:
I Corps consists of west Chadian and Aragonese forces. Their primary objective is to hold Chad's western territory, defending towns and roads and skirmishing out in the desert against Malian and Nigerian forces to stall them.
II Corps consists of Celtic, French, and Luxembourger forces. They will strike the eastern flank of the Nigerian front, sweeping behind them to cut off supply lines and hit their attack force from the rear, which will be in concert with a push south by I Corps.
III Corps consists of Mexican and German forces. They will push south from the capital region to cut off the Nigerian-Central African border. From there, they will have a good striking position against a multitude of targets, the ultimate one to be seen.
IV Corps consists of east Chadian and Italian forces. They are to hold Sudanese forces from the east while pushing south to secure a more defensible position and threaten the Central African capital.
Task Force 5 is a combined naval group of all friendly naval forces. They will form a blockade against Nigeria, forcing the Nigerian navy to either remain in port or sally forth and be annihilated.
Task Force 6 is the command that will coordinate special assets. Their efforts will be directed towards desert reconnaissance and maritime surveillance, primarily.

Re: Kingdom Under Siege (Mali-Chadian War of Expansion)
Mali, Nigeria, the Central African Republic and Sudan have agreed to return to pre-war borders.
Re: Kingdom Under Siege (Mali-Chadian War of Expansion)
A small coalition force will remain in Chad while they recover from this egregious slight by the Empire of Mali and its cohorts. The main force will return home.
