Esteemed comrades,
It has come to Atlanta's attention that the French Republic has invited Aragonese, Italian, Syrian, Mexican and Chadian officials to examine a SRAAF F-13 interceptor. We have already sent a missive to the Republic indicating our desire for the return of the aircraft and pilot, but given the unmistakably close relationship Barcelona and Lyon share, perhaps Aragon can convince the Republic to listen to reason and hand over the jet and pilot without further incident.
We must emphasize that if the plane and pilot are not returned to American hands, it would grievously harm Franco-American and Aragonese-American relations.

Ghosts of Jarama Valley
A message was sent to Aragon;
Re: Ghosts of Jarama Valley
A reply was sent from the office of the Lieutenant-General Commandant,
Gracious Americans,
The situation, as we have come to understand it, is that a treasonous presumably-now-former airman of your proud air force has sought asylum with our ally France, and in order to so make their escape stole property of the American government. Although we can sympathise with the desire to see justice brought to traitors, we must also sympathise with the plight of those who wish to abscond from systemic conditions that one finds deeply disagreeable, a sentiment shared by both our nation and the people of France. It is thus that we regrettably cannot conscientiously advocate for the extradition of a refugee so that they may face prosecution and persecution, a morally virtuous position that we must applaud our friends in Lyon for upholding.

Aragonese comrades,
Recognize that the Republic currently holds American military equipment illegally. Lt. Black was not of sound mind during her defection and stole property belonging to the American people. If the return of Lt. Black is not possible, then perhaps at least the return of her stolen F-13 is possible, a position we hope that Barcelona can make clear to the Republic in short order since it appears they are intent on ignoring the consequences of their actions.

Gracious Americans,
We are aware that our French colleagues are presently in custody of the American government property in question. It, like Sra. Black, is being processed by the French authorities in accordance with the laws of their Republic. Upon such time as the proper bureaucratic measures have been carried out, the property in question, such as Sra. Black's uniform, equipment, and aircraft, will, in accordance with the correct procedures, be returned to your government. I am sorry that your government is incapable of demonstrating the barest patience for the observance of law and would do us the disrespect of demanding we interfere in the carriage of French law, but I am sure you understand that we can not do such a disservice to our esteemed colleagues to the North.
