"The Soviet Union is aghast that China's highest leader would approach the UN and so blatantly spread forth misinformation and propaganda in order to serve her own agenda. Our American comrades have thankfully supported us, and for that we thank them. We must address the Chinese Premier's most accursed statement, that the Soviet Union knowingly supported the use of chemical weaponry. As I am sure many delegates here are aware of, the People's Republic of China was not a power which was inclined to inform its allies of what it was intending to do. Soviet forces in China were just as surprised and outraged by the PRC's use of chemical weaponry as I am sure the Republic was, and casualty records show no less than five hundred Soviet soldiers were killed due to these weapons due to lackluster communication procedures between Soviet and Chinese units. Had Moscow been aware of the PRC's intentions, all diplomatic pressure available would have been used to prevent such a catastrophe."

The Korean representative would provide documentation from the Korean Security Intelligence Service outlining Soviet attempts to infiltrate the Korean government and other agencies, and point out that the Soviet representative's words would perhaps carry more weight were they not uttered while Soviet forces fight their way into Russian territory.

As to the SRA's statement, Korea would indicate that Cascadia was in the midst of ceasing to exist as a nation when such infiltration was detected, and as such had neither the capacity nor reason to attempt such an act.

The Victorian delegate looked at a note that she held and sighed. She stood and spoke. "The Soviet Union may choose to surrender to the UN here and now, and disband its military forces, and its military alliances. If it chooses to do so, its defense will be provided for by the United Nations, and UNDF forces will be stationed within its borders in order to oversee this. If it chooses not to surrender here and now, then it shall see the Seraphim flying over the ashes of its cities. Queen Catharine does not condone the actions of the Soviets, and intends to see them stopped with all haste and force required. A reminder to the world of Victoria's promise that needless bloodshed and provocations will be punished severely."

"The Soviet embassy in Dar es Salaam is open to any Victorian diplomat who wishes to pass along reasonable requests. Victoria is risking a massive conflict when there is no need to by declaring such ultimatums in a forum designed for peace."

Does any representative here believe that their governments are free from espionage? Espionage is a business in which all modern nations participate in, even my own, and to empower this body to act because of accusations of foreign infiltration and espionage does not seem to be an issue which the United Nations should act upon."

"Perhaps an intervention somewhat less forceful?" the Korean rep offered, side-eyeing his Victorian counterpart. "A move to re-establish the pre-war borders of both states, and a presence to deter further conflict. As to the comments from the Kingdom of Italy: it is generally assumed that the espionage we indeed all undertake is more of a passive nature - akin to keeping tabs on one's neighbours, rather than plotting to set their home ablaze.

"I do feel inclined to point out, however, that certain parties-" the rep pointedly did not look at the Victorian present "-may well opt to intervene on their own, separate of any decision made here. As such, I do rather strongly advise a limited intervention - and if I'm blunt, the complete dismantling of the Soviet military does seem something of an overreaction."

Despite everything, it could not help but amuse Song Qingling how the Victorian Queen had insisted on acting so much the part of the military strongman that she had even gone so far as to commit to tripping over her own dick. A police action against the Soviets was one thing, a demand that they reduce themselves to what would essentially be a Victorian puppet? Well, that was quite another thing entirely. Who in their right minds would agree to that?

"The Republic of China accepts the decision of the General Assembly, and suspends its motion, especially given the... drastic nature of the Victorian ultimatum," she declared, with all the suitable emotional trappings of contrition, worn as comfortably as an old coat. "If the peace of the world is to be preserved, then nations must be governed by law, not brute force."

But she was not finished. "However, if that code of law should allow one nation to devour another without provocation, then what use is it? Since the founding of the United Nations, China has gone to war with two of its neighbours. In both cases, they had proven themselves existential threats thanks to their military aggression. What similar justification of self-defence can the Soviet Union give for its war?" She shook her head slowly, almost theatrically. "What good is law between nations if the result is no different than it would be otherwise? If the United Nations cannot draw a line here, then what purpose does it have for existing?"

"If the United Nations is unwilling to act to ensure peace, and if the Soviet Union insists on its war of aggression, then Victoria will have no choice but to take action."

Jung Yi simply leaned back in his seat, his expression of resigned neutrality suggesting he was facing the gallows, rather than the General Assembly.
