Re: Victoria-Kingdom of India Diplomacy

A message is passed to the Indians.

"Victoria is to begin full operations in Bangladesh. Suggest Indian Royal Army forces withdraw immediately. Failure to do so will result in conflict between Victoria and India. Queen Catharine does not wish to see war between the Kingdoms. Advise again: Withdraw immediately. This is the only warning Victoria will send."

"If this means the end of the illegal Communist government in Bangladesh that threatens India's borders, so be it."

A message was very quietly passed, through back channels, to the Indian government. It included evidence that Iran’s submarines had attacked India’s fleet in the Bangladesh conflict. Included were images of an empty submarine pen in Iran, along with other evidence that Victorian allied intelligence had gathered. The message was, of course, unofficial.

A Victorian envoy to India delivered a message to the King as discreetly as she could. The message contained an offer of marriage between the Victorian Queen and the Indian King. It also contained an acknowledgment that King Karamchand might still be in mourning for his late wife, but presenting an argument for the unification of the royal lines of the two Kingdoms as being in the best interests of the people of both nations.

Due to the current panic gripping the Kingdom of India, King Karamchand is amenable to the proposal - and nominally accepts - but due to the current lockdown he and his family are undertaking, he cannot leave India for any reason for the foreseeable future. When the threat passes, he will more formally accept the proposal and arrange for a proper wedding.

King Karamchand has accepted the invitation, though regretfully Prince Prakash will not be attending as he has military duties to attend to in northeastern India.
