---To whom it may concern,
With no political or diplomatic recourse left to us, we have no choice but to use force to reassert our sovereignty and seize back our territory. If the Republic does not seek war, she can withdraw from the illegally seized territory. Until then, a state of war will exist between the Republic and our nation.
- Republic of Zhejiang Foreign Ministry
Hours before the first movements were made, the Republic of China's OTH radar found itself blinded. Initially, it was believed to be operator error, perhaps down for maintenance. However, the act of sabotage soon became clear when panicked transmissions told tales of being attacked by unknown forces that had breached the perimeter. Equally confused transmissions informed anyone who was listening that the base security was not to be trusted.

November 8th, 1962
From the south, Vietnamese armor and infantry crossed the Chinese-Vietnamese border, quickly crossing into Guangxi and seizing the factories there. Propaganda troops began setting up shop shortly after, informing the populace that the area was now under the control of the People's Army of Vietnam, and that their occupation would be short and non-intrusive. The forces here in Guangxi did not stay for long - they had somewhere else to be.
Namely, they had to support an amphibious landing that was ongoing on the early morning hours of the 8th in Guangdong. The Vietnamese and Republic of Zhejiang were apparently cooperating to invade China, supporting one another's efforts as best they could with a dual amphibious invasion ongoing. One was focused in the south at Guangdong, while the other was in full strength at the former capital of Zhejiang itself.
A naval blockade was forthcoming, coupled with naval gunfire to support the landings on Guangdong and Zhejiang provided by the firepower of the combined Vietnamese-Zhejiang navies. Chinese shipping found itself quickly interdicted as submarines began to wreak havoc, destroying Chinese-flagged vessels well beyond any territorial waters. The Pacific Ocean would not be safe for long.
Overhead, planes with the Vietnamese roundel and marked with the Republic of Zhejiang's flag flew overhead, escorting bombers that began to engage not just Chinese planes on the ground and running patrols in the air, but also escorting bombers that cratered runways and decimated the few logistical routes in the area, as well as attacking industrial centers in the affected areas.
OOC:

AS18 and AS19 are conducting a joint land-amphibious invasion of Territory 236. This invasion is being supported by artillery, airpower and naval gunfire.
AS18 is conducting an amphibious invasion of Territory 234. This invasion is being supported by airpower and naval gunfire.
AS18 and AS19 have submarines actively engaging Chinese-flagged shipping vessels in open water.
The Republic of China was not able to see the incoming invasion due to Republic of Zhejiang sabotage efforts, resulting in the OTH radars in Territory 236 to become Damaged. They will need to be repaired before they can have an effect.
Due to having no forces in Territory 237, China has lost control of the Industry there as enemy forces passed through it - Cataphrak now has Contested Control over the territory in question.
