Italian-Macedonian Diplomacy

The Kingdom of Italy wishes to promote good relations between us and the Kingdom of Macedonia as we sympathize with our fellow kingdom beleaguered by communists and socialists such as the likes of Croatia an Bulgaria. To that end we offer a token of good will, albeit a minor one: it appears that Bulgaria is planning to build a defensive alliance with Greece and Serbia. The Italian diplomat hands a small folder containing a summarized report of findings from Italian intelligence agents operating in Bulgaria, sans the unconfirmed reports of where the arms being funneled into Bulgaria are coming from.

Macedonia thanks Italy for this invaluable intelligence and is now in Italy's debt; if there is any way Macedonia can repay this honor please do not hesitate to inform us.

Our gift was merely intended as a token of good will, to build a foundation of strong diplomatic relations, however if Macedonia wishes to start building those relations now, Italy would graciously oblige. There are a couple of offers for our Macedonian friends to consider. For the first offer, we would ask for basing rights within Macedonia's borders, and offer a treaty of guarantee for Macedonia. The second one, we would offer a free trade agreement to promote economic cooperation. These offers are not mutually exclusive, Macedonia my pick either, or both, or, if neither of these offers are palatable, none. Though in the latter case we would hope for a counteroffer.

After some internal negotiation, Macedonia is willing to agree to a free trade agreement.
