Another message was delivered, by the same embassy staffer who'd sent the first, to his American counterpart. It was a simple card scrawled with the message, "Queen Catharine hears that New York is pleasant to visit this time of year."

A message is sent from the Victorian embassy in Atlanta:
"Her Majesty, Queen Catharine, congratulates President van Baarle on unifying the former rebel state of New York. She offers assistance in handling the German Flu outbreak in the former rebel-held region of Long Island."

"The assistance of the Victorian nation in containing the German Flu outbreak is heavily appreciated and wholeheartedly accepted. The Socialist Republic Army is already on standby in the area to ensure the outbreak does not extend past Long Island."

"Queen Catharine has ordered that the 1st and 6th Infantry Divisions will redeploy from their positions in New Jersey to New York as part of an operation of Salvation. These units will enforce quarantine and provide protection for Victorian Red Cross members who will provide aid and relief to those suffering in the infected zone. Hospital ships already deployed off the American Eastern seaboard will remain on station to provide assistance and treatment without violating quarantine."

The American ambassador in Dar es Salaam was brought before Catharine, who sat upon the Throne of Judgment. To anyone who knew her, this was a dangerous place to meet the Queen. And her mood was clearly unhappy.

"It's time for your people to honour our alliance," Catharine said to the American, "and join us in punishing the fascists of Romania for their crimes against Victoria. Inform your President. Rally your soldiers. Prepare to deploy for war."

Two hours later, a message was handed to the Victorian ambassador in Atlanta, which quite simply informed them that the Socialist Republic Marine Corps and Second Fleet would head to Romania as fast as they could steam.

The Victorian ambassador to Atlanta was given a message by courier, which simply read;

Potential threat to American strategic interests in Eastern China. Situation is being monitored - will update Victoria if action is necessary.

A Victorian diplomat delivered a message to one of her American counterparts, in which Victoria complimented the SRA on their decisive handling of the Rockford plague zone, and offered assistance in rebuilding the city.

Victorian assistance in rebuilding Rockford has been granted, alongside an offer for House al America to jointly take over operations of Kaiser-Frazer Automotive, citing general incompetence within several Tennessee factories. Said offer would involve Kaiser-Frazer opening factories in Victoria and beginning the sale of vehicles there, as well as Victorian personnel overseeing factory operations in the SRA.

Furthermore, Victorian assistance has been requested for an upcoming operation titled Operation Open House. The details of this planned operation have been forwarded to the highest ranking Victorian military personnel in the SRA, delivered via courier.
