Had the issue not been so pressing, the Italian representative would offer a lengthy explanation of Italian history, but alas. To Korea's other points Italy would simply point out that that was one of the considerations behind asking South Italy for their assent to North Italy leading the UNDF mission, however if the UN is concerned about their image they do have the option of simply not being involved.

The USSR notes that the North Italian government seems rather preoccupied with the majority of its military in Austria; perhaps it is better for North Italy to take a step back and allow other nations to become involved in peace in an already tenuous area. To that end, the CIS is willing to commit troops from the Soviet Union, Turkmenistan, Crimea and Kyrgyzstan to assist in peacekeeping operations.

---

Syria, Chad, West Turkey, Kuwait, Panama, Australia, and Ethiopia have also offered to commit troops.

Korea puts forth the suggestion of a force from Chad, Australia, and Ethiopia, with a small force of observers along from North Italy so ensure there is no untoward conduct. The forces from Chad can, as per the WEST alliance, represent North Italian interests without causing even more issues - as Korea feels the ongoing uprisings may only amplify if a North Italian takeover is perceived by the citizens. If requested, Korea can also supply units to assist, but feels the suggested elements should suffice.

To the USSR's point, North Italy will note that it's already been pointed out that we have an abundance of troops in Austria, and that perhaps scaling back our involvement in that conflict would be in order. North Italy taking the lead on the South Italy deployment would provide an excellent opportunity to do so without expending political capital internally.

To Korea's suggestion North Italy will make some appropriate consultations and answer in short order.

After deliberations with our diplomatic advisors, North Italy finds Korea's proposal acceptable. Italy will be sending a handful of members from a human rights organization, and a Colonel from the Army as observers.

Chad, Australia, and Ethiopia shall deploy troops at the first available moment.

Other nations vote in favor, with only two votes in the negative from South Africa and Serbia.
