Most Holy Father, we hope this letter finds You well. I ask of Your Holiness a simple and humble request: of loosening an obsolete restriction upon who might be crowned Emperor of the Romans, so that those of this age who might be considered so worthy of the title be granted it once more. I ask Your Holiness to consider this request in all Your wisdom and grace.
It is unfortunate, however, that I must profess my concerns. I would that Your Holiness does not suffer any coercion from the Godless communists so surrounding the Holy See, which would represent a grave threat to the delivery of God's will upon this Earth. Knowing that the fulfilment of this request would be so against the wishes of the Heathens set against Your Holiness, it would only do that a rejection thereof be taken as the result of external infringement upon Your Holiness' most sacred duties. Therefore, in such a case, it would only do that I, as a most devoted and faithful servant of the Lord, do all that is within my power to liberate Your Holiness from their clutches. I pray that such action is not necessary, but stand ready to execute the most dire contingency.
I have the honour to profess myself with the most profound respect. Your Holiness' most obedient and humble servant,
Ofelia del Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart
