The Foreign and Internal Ministries made a joint announcement today, in which they stated that the former leaders of the Bengladeshi Communist Party were executed. This follows a trial where the Bengladeshi communists were accused of war crimes for their actions in the resurgence of the civil war in their nation. Queen Catharine Akinyi al Victoria herself sat in attendance of the trials. The announcement detailed the method of execution, known as Judgment of the Individual, in which the guilty were burned alive with white phosphorous.
Queen Catharine made a brief statement in relation to the executions: "These men were guilty of the crime of false surrender. They gave their word that the war was ended, and chose to renew it after taking advantage of an outbreak of plague in their borders. They were the worst sort of leaders. And this ruling, this act of justice, is a statement to the world. If you try to take advantage of the plague, or if you think to use a false surrender, your death will be the most horrendous and painful possible. I hope every leader, and potential leader, remembers this and considers it carefully when they plan their actions."
