After nearly two weeks of deliberation between Her Majesty and the Royal Council, Queen Margherita II has announced a bold 5-year plan to rapidly elevate our great nation to a serious international power. The multifaceted plan involves drastic expansion of industrial production capability, economic developments, and expansion of the military. The plan calls for a 10% year over year expansion in industrial production capacity, and nearly doubling the size of the military. The plan is expected to go into effect next year. This plan is certainly ambitious, but will it work? Surprisingly, analysts say that barring any surprise complications the plan has good odds at success and even if the goals aren't exactly met, they'll get pretty close. In addition to the 5 year plan Her Majesty also announced the formation of a new agency dedicated to exploring the inky void above: The Royal Agency for the Exploration of Space, or ARES. Along with the formation of this new agency a pair of satellites outfitted for scientific discovery are being designed, along with launch vehicles for them. Although the Kingdom lacks advanced launch facilities, these launches are expected to show any major flaws in launch vehicle design before committing to the construction of proper launch facilities.

Some worry about granting foreign powers the right to house troops within our borders, but a spokesperson for the Crown says that such worries are unfounded, citing shared interests, and membership in the JACHQF.
