Now that Romania's civil war is over, it'd probably be good to update my Nation's spreadsheet. I made a new link so the old one can be kept for posterity. It's still a work in progress.

They said the state of emergency would be lifted after the quarantine was lifted. Quarantine was lifted, and the state of emergency was rescinded, but nothing changed. Over the last several years, the socialists of Ireland have worked tirelessly in preparation of revolution. Public misgivings over material support of the French Republic, despite compelling evidence from the French Commune of Republican aggression, the international calls for sanctions against Ireland for this support, and the precedent this might set for future Irish foreign policy proved an effective call to arms.

A swift and victorious revolution swept through Ireland, restoring liberty and democracy to the Irish people under a new syndicalist federal government dubbing itself the Free Provinces of Ireland.

Following the collapse of the great powers at the end of the war, Austria was caught in a power vacuum.
As the threat of the German flu receded, three prominent factions begann to emerge:
The Imperialists, seeking to reinstate a monarcha under Otto von Habsburg,
The Corporatists, seeking to reinstate the pre-Anschluss authoritarian state
and lastly, the Socialists, seeking a return to democracy.

Folllowing years of infighting as each group formed their own provisional governments and effectively pretended to rule the country, a diplomatic solution has finally been found, resulting in a constitution with the Emperor as head of state, an elected parliament, an appointed cabinet requireing approval by said parliament and significant self-regulatory powers given to institutions representing the classes.

For the first time in 29 years, Austria was both independent and united.

Monarchist factions had been brewing in Spain since the deposition of King Alfonso XIII by the Second Republic, through El Caudillo's tyranny, and under the Communist government that had been, heretofore, in power. There had been little hope for years, especially following the devastation brought on by the German Flu. But that would change when agents discovered a young and viable claimant to the Crown of Aragon in the Catalonian Countryside, one Ofelia del Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart, the Duchess of Alba and a direct descendant of the House of Barcelona, the ancestral rulers of the Principality of Catalonia and Crown of Aragon. Initially intended merely as a figurehead for the restorationist aspirations of that fledgling resistance, in their years of preparation she made the most of it and made inroads with the revolutionaries, eventually rising from de jure to de facto leader and taking on the personal title of La Providència and bolder stances. It would all culminate in several risings across Spain, substantial military defections, and a brutal campaign of violence and blood led from the front by La Providència herself. Her Spain, styled as the Principality of Aragon, promises a new age of glory and pride for its people unlike any seen before, under her wise and graceful guidance. In the immediate quietening of fighting, the state rebuilds itself as it hunts down the last vestiges of those who would cling to the old regime.

Shortly following the events of the WEST conference, the King of Italy, Umberto II, perished in an unfortunate accident which came as a shock to the nation. The would be heir apparent, Vittorio Emanuele, had previously died of the German Flu in his early years, and Umberto II hadn't produced another heir before his untimely death, which left the nation in the uncomfortable position of being without a legitimate ruler. The former King's eldest daughter, Her Royal Highness Maria Pia of Savoy, acting on the advice of one of Umberto's closest advisers sent a letter to the Pope-in-Exile asking for a pragmatic sanction allowing her to rule Italy by the grace of God in this absence of a suitable male heir, and to give his blessing to alter the primogeniture law to ensure such a situation does not arise again.

The Pope granted her request, and she was crowned Queen of Italy shortly thereafter, and took on the regnal name Margherita II. Her first act as Queen was to follow through and alter the laws surrounding the inheritance of the crown to an absolute primogeniture system, and immediately set to work sorting out the other matters of the state, taking little time to mourn her late father for she no great love of him and her dysfunctional family. Her aim is clear, and her goal singular: a unified Italy as an enduring world power. While she seeks to be an effective ruler, she realizes she’s inexperienced and seeks to surround herself with knowledgeable statesmen as advisors, and powerful allies to deter interference with her goal which she will accomplish through any means necessary.
